The Singapore Bicentennial acts as a prequel to SG50, and is a time for us to look deeply at Singapore’s 700-year history going back 500 years before the landmark year 1819, when Sir Stamford Raffles, along with William Farquhar, arrived in Singapore. The journey also takes us forward 200 years to 2019.
Here in Sentosa, visitors will have the opportunity to explore a rich tapestry of Singapore’s history through a carefully-curated collection of heritage tours and attractions.

The Heritage Bus Tour is a round island bus tour to experience the old Sentosa and its colonial past. Many of the places and buildings you will be visiting have an old life that is vastly different from what it is today. Journey in time with our passionate guide and rediscover Sentosa.
Cycle, walk or jog your way around Sentosa and discover hidden historical gems such as carefully-conserved heritage trees and buildings.
Various venue spaces will available for special interest groups to organize their own activities, in relation to “Celebrating Singapore Bicentennial”, either for free or at special discounted rate in 2019!
