Chillax on a beach bean-bag at Rumours Beach Club

If you didn’t know this already, we have a new beach club at the State of Fun. Rumours Beach Club is located right smack in the middle of Siloso Beach Club, and it offers beach lovers a new place to hang out, and just relax under the sun. Park yourselves at one of the many sofas, or even the bean bags on the sand. And let’s not forget the massive infinity pool where you can take a dip while grooving to tunes curated by resident DJ Matty Wainwright.

Tuck into duck confit and waffles at Duckland

There’s crispy duck confit, and then there’s fried chicken and waffles. But what about duck confit and waffles? You can have this sweet-and-savoury treat at Duckland, TungLok Group’s newest brand, which just opened a new outlet at Resorts World Sentosa. This duck-centric restaurant is known for serving up “Silver Hill Duck”, a unique and exclusive hybrid of Peking Duck and Aylesbury Duck, developed 50 years ago from 6 top-quality ducks at Silver Hill Farm in Ireland. Other duck dishes include Roast Irish Duck, Duck Broth, Duck Fried Rice, Spaghetti Duck Bolognese, Duck Liver Terrine, and Duck Pie. There are also non-duck dishes on the menu such as Charcoal-grilled Baby Back Ribs, Irish Lamb Stew, Bacon Cabbage & Colcannon, and Irish Oysters.

Unwind at Sentosa’s latest rooftop destination – 1-V:U

Get ready to kick back with a cocktail in hand while you stare into the expansive panoramic views of the of Palawan Beach, and the Singapore Straits at 1-V:U, Sentosa’s latest lifestyle destination located at The Outpost Hotel’s rooftop. Brought to us by the same people that gave us Monti at One Fullerton, and Yin at Clarke Quay, 1-V:U boasts a day club and a progressive Asian Restaurant helmed by Chef Ace Tan – think Bali’s Omnia.

If you’re there for dinner with friends, we recommend the communal dinner menu which features Chef Tan’s take on “Terra” (Land) and “Aqua” (Sea) dishes such as spiced duck breast ($30), glazed oyster blade steak ($40 / $75) and ‘Char Siew’ seared marinated Iberico secreto slices ($34). There’s also the seasonal tasting menu (from $98) where you can try a bit of everything. Recommended dishes from the day club include VU loaded chips with kombu truffle oil, sherry vinegar, grated parmesan ($12), and the ‘Mala-gherita’ pizza ($20; hot Szechuan tomato sauce, confit tomatoes, Thai basil and mozzarella).

Last call to get your hands on some stinky tofu, minced pork rice and other Taiwanese goodies at Asian Night Market: Taiwan Food Festival. This mini food fest recreates the famous Ningxia Market, and features more than 30 dishes from the actual vendors in Taiwan. More than just a foodies’ paradise, the event will also feature musical performances by the likes of Tay Kexin, Wang Weiliang, Bunz and Cold Cut Duo amongst others. Don’t say we bojio.

Our favourite weekend activity, Movies By the Beach returns this Feb. Grab a picnic, stock it with all your favourite goodies, lay a mat on Palawan Green, and relaaaxxxx.
