SENTOSA STAYLIST: HERITAGE CHARM AT AMARA SANCTUARY

Plus, furkids are welcome and treated like royalty here.

This 140-room luxury resort villa is charming and laidback yet only a few steps away from all the action of Resorts World Sentosa.

Amara Sanctuary on Larkhill Road is a lush colonial building that was a former site of the British Army in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century.

It houses five-star rooms, suites, villas in Singapore and even a mansion with a private pool. There are four swimming pools, a fitness centre and an abundance of activities right at its doorstep.

Per government regulations, Amara Sanctuary has all Safe Management Measures in place.  Read about them here.

Do note that all guests must wear masks, check in and out via SafeEntry and have your temperature screened before entering the attractions and restaurants. There are plenty of signs and floor markers to guide you along. Find out more about our safe measurement measures here.

Rooms, suites and villas

All of their rooms are done up in a charming British heritage-style: expansive verandahs, shades of white, black and white and views of lush greenery. Rooms are fittest with top-notch five-star fittings and fixtures.

The Verandah Studio comes with a romantic four-poster bed and a luxurious rain shower, or opt for a Courtyard Suite that has exclusive access to a private pool. The Couple and Family Suites can access the highly exclusive Larkhill Infinity Pool, or if you must have your own pool (plus indoor, outdoor bathtubs, a patio and complimentary minibar) — the one-bedroom villa is for you.

What to Do at Amara Sanctuary

Sky Pool

Depending on your category of room, you may have the choice of up to four swimming pools to dip, splash, laze around and actually swim in — SkyPool, which is the rooftop infinity pool, DreamPool which has a waterfall and a natural rainforest garden setting. The Children’s Pool complete with water slides and the Larkhill Terrace Pool which is exclusive to the Larkhill Terrace Suites. For access and limitations, click here for more.

The Heritage Trail is highly recommended for its insights and stories of historic Singapore, Sentosa and the British Colonial times as you explore the hotel grounds.

There is also a fitness centre as well as Spa Luna for those who want to make health and wellness a feature of their staycay.
