EAST ASIAN FLYWAY (INTRODUCTION TO BIRDWATCHING)
Birdwatching has always been a niche hobby in Singapore. Many potential hobbyists shun the activity due to cost of equipment and the time required which is a shame as we’re on the east-asian flyway! A migratory hotspot. Participants can now join this tour to get acquainted with some of our avian cohabitants and learn the ropes involved with ‘birding’ - learn how to effectively spot and identify common birds using a pair of binoculars.
IMMERSIVE RAINFOREST TRAILS
Explore a lush rainforest ecosystem right in the heart of Sentosa. Learn and discuss topics relevant to our landscape and development as an island-city! Participants will get to experience first-hand a tropical biotope amongst the tall rainforest flora. This tour will shift the focus to the often overlooked flowers and plants of our forest.
SENTOSA INTERTIDAL EXPLORATION
Discover a hidden world beneath the ocean, all this and more when the tide retreats. A rare opportunity for participants to get up close with marine life that is so often overlooked. Observe closely as sand gobies and swimmer crabs scurry away with the waves. Learn simple marine biology and gain an insight into how the different biotopes on our shores work hand in hand.
SENTOSA NATURALIST NIGHT ADVENTURE
Experience the true ‘wild side’ on this night adventure that brings you through a rainforest system, under the cover of darkness. Be immersed in the forest symphony and learn how to spot and identify common amphibians and nocturnal invertebrates. Peek into the secretive lives of the nocturnal creatures found on Sentosa aided by a small torch.
