»	New addition to Multi Animal Encounters – Sentosa Rats

Celebrate the Year of the Rat with Sentosa’s very own friendly, furry mice. They will scurry into the spotlight on 6 February 2008 at the Multi-Animal Encounters.

The ‘sister act’ is performed by 6 baby rats, who are no more than 6 months old, bred from a pair of rats that was a gift from a Sentosa guest last year. Looking ahead to the Year of the Rat, Sentosa then decided that their extended family were the perfect cast for a new act in their animal performance segment.

So get in on the rat race and usher in the Lunar New Year with Animal Encounters.

»	Upcoming Event – Volvo Ocean Race (Jan 2009)

Staged every 3 - 4 years, this world's premier ocean race will kick off its 2008-09 edition on 4 Oct 2008 from Alicante (Spain) and will call at 11 other ports, covering more than 39,000 nautical miles over 9 months. And for the first time in its 34 years of history, the Race will take competitors across Asian waters!

Sentosa is proud to be as the first Southeast Asian stopover and 5th leg of this prestigious race. Organised by ONE15 Singapore Race Pte Ltd, the Singapore Stopover will be jointly host sponsored by Sentosa and ONE° 15 Marina Club.

In conjunction with the arrival of the Race at Sentosa, a whole host of race-related activities including a Race Village is in store to give spectators the opportunity to experience the thrill of yacht racing close-up.
