Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC) re-aligned its corporate structure and transferred its day-to-day operations of the island to Sentosa Leisure Management Pte Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary.
SDC & its subsidiaries are known as the Sentosa Leisure Group.
Magical Sentosa, an all-new pyrotechnic extravaganza, replaced the musical fountain show.
Stories of the Sea, a new multi-sensory maritime experience, was added to the Images of Singapore.
Spa Botanica opened with the distinction of being Singapore's first garden destination spa.
The Beaufort Hotel was renamed The Sentosa Resort & Spa.

Fort Siloso re-furbished with re-located wax figures from the Surrender Chambers and new dramatic documentary film shows, making Fort Siloso a one-stop overview of Singapore's WWII history.
Images of Singapore closed for refurbishment into a more exciting and dramatic Singaporean experience of history and culture.

Barclays announced its commitment to a five-year title sponsorship of the Singapore Open, raising the prize money of Asia’s richest national Open to US$3 million. Defending champion Adam Scott retains the Barclays Singapore Open title, defeating Ernie Els by two shots in a three-hole play-off.
Palawan Beach reopens after a major S$11 million revamp. New family-friendly amenities include convenience stores, a food court, generous shower facilities, a variety of restaurants and an open-air animal theatre featuring regular animal encounters.
Siloso Beach Resort opens, a new S$50 million mid-tier hotel along Siloso Beach offering 182 sea-facing rooms, 12 villas and a unique tree-house.
Construction begins on the new S$31-million nightly water, light and fire spectacular titled Songs of the Sea. To be completed by Q2 2007, this extravangaza - the only one of its kind set in the sea – will replace the current Magical Sentosa fountain show.
