	Customer Relationship Excellence (CRE) Awards 2008			This is a regional annual service award which recognises top service representatives from international cities across Asia Pacific for their service experiences and world-class service standards. Established since 2002, the CRE Awards are organised by the Asia Pacific Customer Service Consortium (APCSC) based in Hong Kong. Julian Ong from Sentosa’s Beach Operations emerged the winner in the 'CRE Awards (Safety and Security Service) – Customer Service Professional of the Year (Service Centre)' category. He is among the seven Excellent Service Award (EXSA) SuperStars who represented Singapore at the Awards.				Asia Pacific Customer Service Consortium


	Effie Singapore Awards 2008			Sentosa’s campaign for Barclays Singapore Open 07 is awarded Gold at the prestigious Effie Singapore Awards 2008! With the title “Everyone wants to be part of it”, the campaign aimed to build on the concept that the Barclays Singapore Open was the player’s preferred tournament and perhaps the most high profile golf event in Asia and Singapore. Even other sportsmen and women would like to be part of it. The whacky executions combined with strategic media placements, set Barclays Singapore Open 07 apart from other sport campaigns. Effie recognises effective campaigns that have successfully merged all disciplines that enter into a marketing program and eventually, met or exceeded the objectives set. 	2008 Hitwise Top 10 Award Winner (January – March)			Sentosa continues to clinch a spot in the Hitwise Top 10 Award for the quarter ending January - March 2008. Sentosa ranked no. 2 based on market share of visits among all Singapore websites in the Hitwise Travel - Destinations and Accommodation category.				Hitwise


	South West District Community Safety and Security Programme (CSSP) Awards 2008 – Gold Award for "Discovering Vigilance, Being Ready"			Sentosa clinched Gold in the Community Safety and Security Programme (CSSP) Awards 2008 organised by the South West District. The award is in recognition of Sentosa’s joint bomb blast evacuation exercise with the Singapore Police and Singapore Civil Defence Force at the Songs of the Sea in October 2007. The South West District CSSP recognises and encourages such local community safety and security exercise as an initiative towards building a safe and resilient multi-racial community. 	ASEANTA Awards for Excellence 2008			'Best ASEAN New Tourist Attraction' - this is the latest winning label that Songs of the Sea can proudly add to its name. The award was announced in Bangkok, at the 22nd ASEANTA Awards for Excellence 2008. It recognizes any new attraction that boosts the travel experience in ASEANTA through unique features and exhibits. This is the second award for Songs of the Sea, as it approaches its first anniversary in March. Created by internationally acclaimed designer Yves Pepin, Songs of the Sea has mesmerized close to 1 million audiences with its brilliant display of pyrotechnics, psychedelic lasers, water jets, computer animations, captivating melodies and intriguing live cast. 	2007 Hitwise Top 10 Award Winner (October-December)			Sentosa has once again garnered a spot on Hitwise Top 10 Award for the quarter ending October - December 2007. During this period, Sentosa has continued to maintain its ranking at No. 2 by visits among all Singapore websites in the Hitwise Travel - Destinations and Accommodation industry category. 	TWC Travel Industry Awards			TWC Travel Industry Awards was inaugurated in 2002 and into its 7th year running. Nominations were collected from TWC readers in previous the months and submitted to a panel of 19 judges in China and experts on China. 3 Best choices were shortlisted and TWC readers casted their votes between 22 Oct to 23 Nov 07 made mainly electronically and in print. Over 100,000 votes were received for all categories in the TWC Travel Industry Awards which recognizes the best in the industry and acknowledges their contributions to China tourism, both inbound and outbound. Sentosa won the 'Best Unique Venue - Outbound' under the MICE category, up against Hong Kong's Disneyland and Malaysia's Genting Highlands. The award was received at the awards gala ceremony held in Beijing on 14 Dec 07.				TWC


	Excellent Service Award 2007 Winner Julian Ong			Recognises individuals who have delivered outstanding service. Seeks todevelop service models for staff to emulate, creates service champions inthe service industries and professionalise services. Sentosa has much to celebrate this year. Sentosa once again topped the list of award recipients under the Association of Singapore Attractions category, with an overwhelming 113 awards out of a total of 300 over winners. In addition, Julian Ong from Beach Operations, clinched the highest servicehonours and emerged the Attractions Industry SuperStar winner. Julian and 9 other SuperStar winners were chosen from ten sectors within the service industry - from banking and finance to food and beverage - after undergoinga year-long selection process. 	2007 Thea Award Winner – Songs of the Sea(Outstanding Achievement for Event Spectacular Category)			The THEA Awards were created to recognize achievements, talent and personal excellence in the themed entertainment industry and since 1994, it has become internationally recognized as a symbol of excellence. Sentosa’s Songs of the Sea is thankful to receive this coveted award!				Themed Entertainment Association (THEA)


	Brass Ring Award 2007 Winner – Everything Sentosa			Sentosa is pleased to once again bag the First Place in the brochure category for Everything Sentosa.				International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA)
